When you book your free consultation our staff will work with you to design a space that meets all of your functional and aesthetic needs. This includes considering any maintenance or site-specific constraints.

Landscaping Styles

While we don’t like to overly constrain your creative freedom. We find it to be very beneficial to stick to a specific style to help guide you through the landscape design process. We have a few styles that we are continuously working on adapting to help us achieve the best results when designing and building a garden. If you would like to be guided please enjoy the Giddy style guide below:

Please know we are not limited to these designs and would love to work with you to develop new ideas and styles.

Meadow

A Giddy Landscapes meadow style garden typically includes a very lush plant out with many flowering plants and trees. We love to include a meandering pathway through the garden allowing you to get up close and personal with all of the fragrant smells. A feature such as a bench seat will also provide a great place to sit down with a coffee and book if you’re limited by space. This type of garden loves full sun and is perfect for anyone with a bit of a green thumb and doesn’t mind spending a little bit of time in the garden tending to the plants.

Tropical

Our tropical plant out is a great option for all our rainforest lovers. This style option is great for anyone wanting a low - maintenance space in south facing or low light conditions. These plants love the humidity and a bit of shade as they are used to being shadowed by much larger trees.

Native

The native design style quickly became Giddy’s signature style due to it’s robust and low-maintenance nature. This style suits home owners and tenants who would rather spend time enjoying their garden space than maintaining their yard. The native garden can be achieved in most spaces; however, the more sun the space gets the more the plants will flower. These plants are often bee, bird and butterfly attracting, if you enjoy sharing your space with Australian wildlife. This design is often complimented with a fire pit area for the family to have their own campfire experience.

We will often vary the native garden style’s plants to fit the specific geographical location of the property. This opens up sub-categories of native designs; such as, the coastal native design featuring primarily coastal plants providing the space with a beachy feel.
